According to police sources, a man driving a TMax was seen throwing the grenade in question onto the public highway. The scooter driver then fled.

The area known to harbor drug trafficking

Were these two people targeted by the scooter rider or are they collateral victims? The investigation which began on Thursday evening will clarify the precise reasons and circumstances of this attack. While a security perimeter was set up by police officers, forensic identification specialists began their investigations and surveys.

From a police Source, it is noted that the area was known to harbor drug trafficking. If it turns out to be linked to the attack of the evening, the latter would be added to the already long list of settling of scores recorded in recent weeks in the department. Just a week ago, a man “highly involved in drug trafficking” was shot and killed in Dugny.

Ten days earlier, three people had lost their lives in less than 48 hours in two shootings, in Sevran, also against a backdrop of drug trafficking. The police headquarters then spoke of an outbreak of violence linked to police action, in particular through the Place Net XXL operations destabilizing the underground economy.
