Aas Colombia prepares to host the 16e conference of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity from October 21, the WWF published at the beginning of the month the 2024 edition of its “Living Planet” report. It’s hard to be more alarming.

“Year after year, the decline of biodiversity continues unabated,” writes the non-governmental organization (NGO). “In just fifty years, the average size of wild vertebrate animal populations has fallen by 73%”, which would put “our survival and that of our planet” at risk.
