Marie-Christine Brulon, Head of television liturgy for Le Jour du Seigneur ( 2), will be scouting in Saint-Didier () on Tuesday October 22 to prepare the mass which will be broadcast live on France 2 at 11 a.m. on Sunday 15 December from Saint-Didier church.

On the program: meeting with religious authorities, volunteer parishioners, etc. in order to establish the broad outlines of this broadcast, take stock of technical needs, songs, etc.

For the record, Le Jour du Seigneur is the oldest PAF broadcast, the very first broadcast of which dates back to Christmas night in 1948, during which it was broadcast live from Notre-Dame de cathedral.

From October 9, 1949, it will become Le Jour du Seigneur and its broadcast will be weekly. 76 years later, The Lord’s Day is watched on average by more than 700,000 people. During the last Easter mass, the milestone of one million viewers was reached. This is one of the last shows broadcast live on television; each week it mobilizes around thirty people for 3 days across the four corners of France as well as many volunteer parishioners.
