Before that, around 9:50 p.m., firefighters had been engaged to fight against the flames which had engulfed the house. Three nozzles were deployed to prevent the fire from spreading to two adjoining houses. The situation was under control a little before 3 a.m., but the house was completely destroyed and its inhabitant could not be located.

Firefighters and police are on site but the risk of collapse paralyzes the situation.
Search operations will resume in the morning, in the presence of the national gendarmerie, but the situation is blocked due to the risk of collapse of the house which had one floor as well as an attic. A lighter fire brigade, monitoring the fire, however, remains active and present to complete the extinction of the last outbreaks. “The operations to clear the disaster will remain long and delicate,” indicates Sdis 47.
46 firefighters were mobilized at the height of the event, supported in particular by a thermal vision drone. A command post was also activated to coordinate the emergency response, thus preventing the fire from spreading to adjoining houses.
