Leopold inflicted their first defeat of the season on the Waterloo Ducks by winning 2-3 on Friday evening in their Carlsberg 0.0 Hockey League alignment meeting at Drève d’. During the 5th day, the two clubs were engaged at the beginning of October during the 1st round of the Euro Hockey League (EHL), in London.

The Ucclois, who unlike the Walloon Brabançons managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the most important continental club competition in England, led the score in Waterloo. They opened the scoring on a pc converted by Jose Basterra, (31st), but in the same phase Tomas Domene restored equality shortly before the break (33rd). In the 4th and final quarter, the same Domene gave the Ducks the lead (53rd). This was without counting on a 4th pc converted by Basterra (58th) and a decisive goal from Tom Boon (61st) to reverse the situation in favor of Agustin Corradini’s men (2-3).

This Waterloo defeat allows Herakles to dominate alone at the top of the ranking, with 18 points. Jean Willems’ players remain in second position (15 pts), two units ahead of Gantoise and Braxgata. Leopold moved up to 6th place, with 8 points, collecting only its second success of the season.

Sunday, for the 7th day, Watducks will host Braxgata, while Léopold will face bottom-placed Namur.
