Piqueras on fire on the water

The players in the Moto3™ category were on track this Friday on the wet asphalt of the Phillip Island circuit to take part in FP and P1 of the Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix. Particularly comfortable this afternoon unlike his many opponents who made mistakes, Ángel Piqueras (Leopard Racing) sets the best time thanks to a lap completed in 1’44.949. The Leopard driver is ahead of the new World Champion David Alonso (CFMOTO Aspar Team), who was at the top of the hierarchy this morning. Author of a barely exceptional rescue in this session, Adrián Fernández (Leopard Racing) is third.

Sniper pilots show themselves

In fourth place, we find a surprising David Almansa (Kopron Rivacold Snipers Team) ahead of his teammate Matteo Bertelle (Kopron Rivacold Snipers Team), in the top 3 this morning. David Muñoz (BOE Motorsports) is sixth ahead of Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) and Stefano Nepa (MTA Team), victim of a fall in this session.

Many falls

Ninth, his compatriot Luca Lunetta (SIC58 Squadra Corse) is one of the many drivers trapped at turn 4. Joel Kelso (BOE Motorsports) completes the top 10 of this P1 in Australia. We will also note the falls of Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia), Tatchakorn Buasri (Honda Team Asia), Ricardo Rossi (CIP Green Power), Filippo Farioli (SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Nicola Carraro (MTA Team).

Moto3™ P2 at Phillip Island will be held on Friday evening from 11:40 p.m.
