Here’s some news that will delight the children, a little less the parents: the prefecture announces the closure of around forty schools in the Loire.
Here is the list:
Boisset-les-Montrond, Cellieu, Chagnon, Chavanay, Chuyer, Craintilleux, Dargoire, Doizieux, Farnay, Genilac, La Chapelle-Villars, La Grand-Croix, La Terrasse-sur-Dorlay, La Valla-en-Gier, The Horme, Lorette, Lupé, Maclas, Malleval, Montrond-les-Bains, Pélussin, Rive-de-Gier, Rivas, Roisey, Saint-Appolinard, Saint-Chamond, Saint-Cyprien, Saint-Martin-la-Plaine, Saint- Paul-en-Jarez, Saint-Romain-en-Jarez, Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez, Saint-Joseph, Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône, Saint-Pierre-de-Boeuf, Tartaras, Véranne, Veauchette.
In Saint-Etienne, the Aristide-Briand college, the Terrenoire Bourg primary school, La Perrotière, Janon and the Saint-Blandine school are affected by this closure.
School and collective transport are prohibited in the territory of the municipalities mentioned above.
Please note that locally, local elected officials can decide to close their establishments even if they do not appear on the list.
