More than a year after her disappearance, Lina’s body was found more than 500 kilometers from where she disappeared. “1:15 p.m. on Saturday” retraces the different stages of the investigation which made it possible to establish a lead and trace a suspect.
The discovery, Wednesday October 16, 2024 in a wooded area in the Nevers region, in Nièvre, of the lifeless body of Lina, who disappeared more than a year ago in Alsace, put an end to all hope of finding her alive .
A long and careful investigation combining analyzes of theCriminal Research Institute of the National Gendarmerie (IRCGN) and the work of the Strasbourg Research Section made it possible to find the body of the teenager, whose phone had stopped transmitting a few minutes after her disappearance.
On Saturday September 23, 2023 at 11 a.m., in Saint-Blaise-la-Roche, a small village in Bas-Rhin, Lina walks to the station, located 3 kilometers from her mother’s home, to join her boyfriend. On the way, the teenager disappears without leaving a trace.
In July 2024, traces of the young girl’s DNA, found in a vehicle, made it possible to trace the trail and identify a suspect, Samuel Gonin. But the investigators will never be able to hear him, he commits suicide shortly before his arrest. It is the analysis of the vehicle’s geolocation that will lead them to Lina’s body. “1:15 p.m. on Saturday” (X(New window), #(New window)13h15(New window)) traces this difficult investigation.
