National Resilience Day (NRD) is a government initiative that aims to spread the culture of risk and resilience. The objective is that each citizen can be aware of the major risks and learn about the safeguarding behaviors to adopt and the alert procedures in the event of serious events.

Seven sixth grade classes

Tuesday October 8, as part of this day, in the presence of Jérôme Pouget, mayor and elected officials, a day of information, exchanges and awareness of major risks in the face of forest fires and floods was provided by all stakeholders in prevention, in particular the CCFF Saint-Clementois, the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis), the forestry firefighters of the department, the community of communes of Grand Pic Saint-Loup (CCPSL) as well as the Ecologists de l’Euzières for middle school students in the seven 6th grade classes at the Pic Saint-Loup college in Saint-Clément-de-Rivière.

A very enriching day of teaching and much appreciated by all the students. They will be ambassadors in spreading the right actions to adopt for the prevention of nature and the environment. At the end of this day, which was a great success, an emergency kit was offered by the CCGPSL to each child including a Young Discrim, a flashlight, a first aid kit, a whistle, a survival blanket as well as ‘a game of the 7 families.
