A fire broke out this Sunday evening in an abandoned house in Auby. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, the origin of which is still unknown.

This Sunday, October 13 in the evening, a fire broke out in an abandoned house located on rue Montresor in Auby. Quickly alerted, around fifteen firefighters from the and Auby barracks intervened to control the flames.

The fire apparently started at the roof level

The national police were also on site to secure the perimeter, accompanied by GRDF and ENEDIS in order to prevent any risks linked to the gas and electricity networks. According to initial information, the fire started at the roof of the building, before being quickly contained thanks to the use of two fire hoses.

Material damage

No injuries were reported, the damage being limited to material damage. For the moment, the causes of the fire remain unknown. An investigation was opened by the police to determine the precise circumstances of the incident.

A fire in the neighboring house

A fire had already broken out in the neighboring house less than a month ago, on the night of Wednesday to Thursday September 19.
