At the initiative of the Clic du Pays d’Auge , local Information and Coordination Center, and its two partners, the Specialized Home Team (ESAD) Vallée d’Auge and the Temps Recovered association, the Carers’ Day is proposed for the 3e consecutive year, this Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“The objective of this day is to inform caregivers of the assistance they can benefit from in order to support them on a daily basis, whether with an elderly, sick, disabled or loss of autonomy person”indicates Mylène Vallée, coordinator of Clic du Pays d’Auge Nord, a structure attached to the Department of and the social action district of Pays d’Auge Nord. There are many forms of assistance available, for example, home help, day care facilities, temporary accommodation, but also respite periods offered for example by the Alzheimer association or Temps Recovered, in Saint-Gatien-des-, which welcomes people with memory disorders through various activities. adds Mylène Vallée.

Those receiving assistance can come with their caregivers

Three interactive conferences are also on the program during this day: “Neuro-progressive diseases and their impact on the daily life of caregivers”, “Alzheimer, caregivers talk to caregivers”, and, finally, “relays allowing accompany and support caregivers and their loved ones.” Many partners (associations, home help and care services, establishments, respite structures, retirement fund, Department of Calvados, Clic, etc.) will be present to answer questions from families accompanying a loved one.
