Rare in an interview, Hélène Rollès was last night on the set of “Quelle époque” on France 2 to look back on her journey and on this new album that she has decided to release. The opportunity for her to also look back on her career as a singer in the 1990s and her role as Hélène Girard since 1991 in the series “Premiers kisses”, “Hélène et les Garçons”, “Le Miracle de l’amour” , “The Holidays of Love” and “The Mysteries of Love”.
The 57-year-old actress has just released a new eponymous album:
“It was born quite simply with Jean-Luc Azoulay (its producer) and Gérard Salesses (composer and musical arranger). The three of us take a little weekend, we laugh a lot and we select from all the songs. choose with my heart. The melodies first, and then we see the lyrics,” she confided in Le Soir Mag.
If Hélène Rollès is enthusiastic about the idea of letting her audience listen to her new songs, she was in no hurry to release a new album, while the last one dates from 2021.
Those around her had to insist that she return to the recording studios. “The fans asked me, Jean-Luc insisted… Even my children encouraged me to record new songs! It made me happy! It was also a desire… And then, it’s a beautiful moment when we is in the studio”, she revealed, revealing that she had “done everything to postpone the moment”, because she is very afraid of going back on stage.
