The MR or the PS, it’s kif-kif
Damn, but that’s for sure! To increase your chances of election, place yourself on two competing lists. This is the scenario that we could imagine after the publication on social networks of two posters of the candidate Carole Marine Gilsoul, one for the MR, another for the PS. The reality, however, is a little more complex, although no less unusual. Marine Gilsoul had in fact set her sights on the liberals, participated in the photo shoot for the posters before belatedly falling in love with the socialists. We are little. Although he has been mayor of Liège for 25 years, Willy Demeyer (PS) is not yet famous among everyone, and especially not his printer. The mayor and his party had decided to strike a major blow by sending an electoral leaflet to 115,000 Liégeois. We see the outgoing representative all smiles, posing proudly at the head of the list. Perfection. Or almost. Because the rascal couldn’t find anything better to do than to ruin the mood with a typo. And here is Demeyer renamed “Femeyer”. The candidate swears that the error does not come from his multiple proofreaders. He is believed to have collapsed. He confirms this on his Facebook page. “Don’t run away from me, still not recovered…”
Candidates without knowing it

One of these designated volunteers claims to have attended a meeting on… animal protection and thought she was signing a petition, and not an application form. The head of the list, who was well and truly aware of it, disputes this version and accuses the citizens of renouncing their commitment. Nonetheless, Défi management has indeed opened an investigation.
The weight of words, the shock of the photo
We’re not going to beat around the bush. Between the photo on the left and the one on the right, we do not see any obvious resemblance. There’s nothing like a four-legged companion on posters to appeal to two-legged voters. This is common reasoning during this election campaign. Between dogs and cats of all breeds, colors and confessions, we will give a special mention to Michel Bloyaert, 27e on the MR list in Watermael-Boitsfort. To compensate for a position on the list that we would allow ourselves to qualify as a fighting position, he does not hesitate to bet everything on his pet. There are candidates who are fighting for the head of the list, others who would kill father and mother for a good “punchline”. Demonstration with Maxime Hardy, socialist candidate in Charleroi. This could give Elio Di Rupo new career prospects. Simonne Majot, exactly 100 years old, is running in the municipal elections in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre on the socialist list.
