We are truly nothing without her. Whether we are black or white. If we reach out for her. Life is more beautiful…”. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series “Plus belle la vie”, our colleagues from Télé-Loisirs organized an evening, Friday October 11, bringing together the actors from the very first episode broadcast on August 30, 2004 on 3.

The actors from the first episode reunited

Thus, Pierre Martot, Ambroise Michel, Sylvie Flepp, Thierry Ragueneau and Geoffrey Sauveaux, who respectively play Léo Castelli, Rudy Torres, Mirta Torres, François Marci and Lucas Marci, met to chat with fans. Serge Dupire spoke live, while Cécilia Hornus and Rebecca Hampton had pre-recorded two videos to address the soap opera faithful present in the room.

During the evening, Sylvie Flepp explained that “Plus belle la vie” had lost its “social” side when it arrived on TF1 on January 8. “Before, we talked when there was something really happening, we talked about it too. There, we don’t talk about it anymore!”she clarified. For his part, Thierry Ragueneau confided: “I have the impression that from the feedback I have, TF1 is thinking about that. Because they feel it’s lacking a little bit. Finally, the echoes they have from the spectators…”

Interrupting the one who is none other than the companion of Cécilia Hornus in real life, Sylvie Flepp added, addressing the public who were at the Télé-Loisirs headquarters: “That was a good fit! About being in agreement with what is happening. Well, I don’t know what you think about it too…”.

However, in an article published last January on Puremedias.com, Anne Didier, artistic director of fiction at TF1, declared: “The launch of ‘Plus belle la vie’ is part of TF1’s editorial project:TF1, the French together”. It is by capitalizing on the DNA of ‘Plus belle la vie’, namely proximity, conviviality, solidarity and by tackling social issues which echo our times that we plan to unite the public and the faithful from the very beginning”.
