Initially scheduled for December 2028, the commissioning of the future Trèfle-Blanc ice rink in Lancy (GE) is planned for the 2030 season. These fifteen months of delay are not exceptional for a construction project of this scale, assures the canton.
This discrepancy compared to the planned schedule was revealed on Friday by 20 minutes and Léman Bleu. The Department of Social Cohesion (DCS), on which sports depend, specifies that adjustments are often necessary following preliminary studies.
A credit of 138 million francs is planned for the construction of the infrastructure. An investment bill will be tabled in autumn 2025 before the Grand Council. This rink is named Le Nid des Aigles, echoing the Genève-Servette hockey club which will become master of the place and of which the eagle is the symbol.
