He was married and the father of four children. In August 2022, Abdul Qayyem Ahmadzai, an Afghan refugee in France since 2016 and a worker at Stellantis in Mulhouse, was killed at the foot of a building in Colmar.
Two young adults appeared before the courts in Colmar for this murder which had aroused great emotion.
Punishments consistent with requisitions
The suspects were sentenced this Friday by the Haut-Rhin juvenile court. The sentences handed down against the two main defendants are consistent with what Attorney General Jean Richert requested on Thursday, namely 25 years of imprisonment for the shooter, aged 17 at the time of the facts, and 20 years against his co-accused, 18 years old at the time, who had handled the weapon before giving it to the teenager. Finally, two friends also indicted, aged 20 and 21 at the time of the facts, accused of complicity in murder and violence in a meeting, were each sentenced to ten years of criminal imprisonment, twice as much as the requisitions, specify our colleagues from DNA.
