Emblematic columnist of Don’t Touch My PostGéraldine Maillet is not always in agreement with Cyril Hanouna. It is above all two subjects which oppose them: the vaccine against Covid-19 and the Kylian Mbappé affair which is currently in financial dispute with Saint-Germain. So when these subjects are mentioned in TPMPCyril Hanouna and Géraldine Maillet often mess up their buns.

Géraldine Maillet says what she thinks “with sincerity”

Recently invited to the microphone of Sud Radio Media, Géraldine Maillet just returned to her disagreements with Cyril Hanouna. “I have no role. No one has any role. I hammer it home, I repeat it, because I feel like it has a hard time getting into people’s heads. It’s a show where I’ve been there for seven years. I always say what I think with sincerity. I could be wrong, we don’t have perfect knowledge.”she explained.

Géraldine Maillet then added: I understand that it might be offensive. In fact, for me, it’s a kind of family dinner and sometimes we fight and things get out of hand. I’ve already had family dinners where we talked about politics and at the end we spoke very badly to each other, because we didn’t agree, because it was divisive, because it was a source of conflict. … Afterwards, we sulk for a week. Sometimes there are epidermal themes where we blame so-and-so for doing that and not so-and-so. There is resentment, anger. Afterwards, it’s the ‘I love you and I hate you at the same time’ family. We argue but there are no hard feelings.”

Géraldine Maillet looks back on her grandmother’s stroke

As part of the promotion of his book entitled Ma MinusculeGéraldine Maillet gave an exclusive interview to Purepeople. A work in which she confides in the sudden death of her grandmother. When my grandmother had her stroke, it was a Sunday, 2 p.m. The firefighters arrived for first aid ten minutes later and it was ten interminable minutes. I said to myself: ‘She is going to die’, ‘She will have irreversible after-effects and she will be a vegetable'”she confided at first.

She then revealed the reaction of those close to her to this project. “They were surprised and divided. But they trusted me and I thank them for that. For me it is a proof of love. They were all upset. They wrote me a lot of messages. They found it to be funny, lively and full of details. They found that it was very human and that it spoke to everyone.”

To overcome the disappearance of her grandmother, Géraldine Maillet was able to count on the support of Daniel Riolo, her companion. It also happened in front of his eyes, so I imagine that was hard too. We tell ourselves that we don’t want her to disappear into a salon we go to every weekend. Because there is something a little strong, a little hard, a little meaningful. He supported me like no other.
