Nightsleeper : Was the fiction filmed on a real train?

The series Nightsleeper was filmed between April and July 2023, primarily in and around Glasgow, Scotland. Scenes from the beginning of the series were filmed at Glasgow Central Station. But was the series filmed on a real train? Well, despite very convincing appearances, no! All interior train sets were filmed at Pioneer Film Studios. A life-size train was recreated in these studios, and walls of giant LED screens installed to give the illusion of the movement of the train. The illusion worked so well that some of the actors had to take pills for motion sickness! Other settings include footage at the National Cyber Security Center in a building on a Glasgow City University campus.
