“In October 2023, I posted a photo of myself on Instagram. I was getting ready to go for my traditional mammogram and I was joking about making a Michael Scott reference. (In The Office),” she wrote in an Instagram post.After inconclusive results due to dense breast tissue, my doctor asked me to have a breast ultrasound. And they found something in my left breast.“

She continues: “We did a biopsy and on December 1st, I found out I had stage 1 breast cancer.“
Fortunately, after months of treatment – chemotherapy last February and radiotherapy last June – Jenna Fischer says she has overcome the disease. “Although I continue to treat myself with Herceptin infusions and a daily dose of Tamoxifen, I am happy to say that I feel very good.“
Through this revelation, the actress wanted to send a message to women, that of having a mammogram every year. “I implore you to do it“, she wrote. “I’m serious. Call your doctor now.“
