After the murder of a 40-year-old woman on October 1 in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis), the police have a suspect. According to our information, a 19-year-old man was arrested on October 5 in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Contacted, the Bobigny public prosecutor’s office announced that he “was presented to the investigating judge on Monday, indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention”.
Entrusted to the criminal brigade of the Parisian judicial police, the investigation continues. According to several sources, the victim was a prostitute of Cameroonian origin. “At this stage, it would seem that the victim was indeed carrying out prostitution activity,” indicates the prosecution. And to specify that “the individual accused was present on the scene in this context”.
It was at the end of the evening, around 11 p.m., that the police discovered the naked and lifeless body of this woman in an apartment on rue de Solférino, located between the Quatre-chemins district and Porte de la Villette ( 19th century). Informed by one of her friends who was worried about not hearing from her, the officials noted traces of a struggle in the home where the victim was lying on the ground.
Fare dispute sparked murder
In all likelihood, the latter died of strangulation. She also had marks on her face. After careful investigative work, the Crime police managed to identify the suspect and arrest him, four days later, at his Parisian home. The latter is known for traffic offenses and acts of theft, receiving stolen goods and carrying a prohibited weapon.

On August 13, a prostitute of Chinese origin was also found dead, killed in her home in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. A client of the victim was arrested a few days later before confessing.
