A 35-year-old woman from Saint-Ulric was seriously injured in an accident that occurred Tuesday between a heavy truck and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) in Sainte-Flavie.
According to information from the Sûreté du Québec, the collision occurred around 12:50 p.m., while the SUV was traveling westbound on Route 132 and was preparing to turn toward Chemin Perreault.
It was while carrying out this maneuver that the vehicle in which the driver was traveling was hit by a 10-wheel truck traveling east, still on the 132.
As of Tuesday evening, first responders still feared for the life of the driver of the vehicle.
Route 132 was completely closed in the area for several hours.
