Jorge Martin set the best time in the first free practice session of the French MotoGP Grand Prix (1’31”421). The 26-year-old Madrid driver (Ducati-Pramac), leader in the world championship before this fifth round, was the fastest, this morning of Friday May 10, 2024, on the track of the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans.
His compatriot Pedro Acosta (Tech 3-KTM) set the second time (1’31”658), ahead of a third Spaniard: Maverick Vinales (Aprilia, 1’31”678).
As since the start of the season, the French drivers are still further behind for the moment. Johan Zarco (LCR Honda) got 16e time when Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) achieved the penultimate.

The second free practice session of the day will take place between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. this Friday, May 10. Before qualifying and the sprint race, Saturday May 11.
