The night from Saturday October 5 to Sunday October 6 was difficult for forty-four Nivernais firefighters from half a dozen emergency centers in the department. The fire started in a grain silo in Pouilly-sur-Loire.

More than forty firefighters from the emergency centers of Pouilly-sur-Loire, La Charité-sur-Loire, Donzy, Nevers and Saint-Benin-d’Azy fought the disaster for more than two hours before have control over it.

Two lances were used to control the fire. “The silo unloading operations made it possible to eliminate all potential risks,” said the Nièvre firefighters.
