Laurent M’bra, secretary of the youth organization of the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI-RDA) died this Monday, May 6, 2024. The announcement of his premature departure plunged his colleagues, friends and supporters into a deep sadness.
Laurent M’bra was much more than an active member within the PDCI-RDA. He was a fervent defender of the party’s political ideals and a tireless architect of Ivorian political youth. His unwavering commitment and dedication to the cause left an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

His disappearance leaves an immense void within the PDCI-RDA and the political community as a whole. His skills, his sense of leadership and his ability to unite energies were valuable assets for the party and for Ivorian youth.
Apart from his political commitment, M’bra was also recognized for his generosity, his camaraderie and his team spirit. He was a pillar of support to his colleagues and a loyal friend to many.
In a publication on Facebook issued by Patrice Kanté, president of the La Renaissance du Bélier (LRB) movement, Laurent M’bra was honored as a true pillar of Ivorian politics. “Your political family, your brothers in the LRB movement and all those who loved you are mourning you.
Present on this platform today to say goodbye. You left before us, much too soon and you remind us that down here, our life is little. At the beginning of the LRB, you were there and I am happy to have shared this political experience and part of your life with you,” declared Patrice Kanté.

“You had the art of cultivating brotherhood, teamwork, you made all these moments joyful and unique. How to forget them? You were faithful and generous in ideology, a knower of the PDCI RDA, a fighter… Your departure leaves an immense void in the hearts of everyone here. My sincere condolences to your biological family,” noted the president of the LRB.
