Under heavy rain, Paris FC lost to AJ Auxerre (0-2). We will have to get a result against Guingamp next week at Charléty.

Analysis

Great day atmosphere at Abbé-Deschamps. In front of more than 18,000 spectators, the Parisians want to spoil the party for the leader who, in the event of victory, would ensure accession to Ligue 1. The start of the match is rather balanced. Vincent Marchetti has a huge opportunity but comes up against Donovan Léon, author of a superb reflex save. A few minutes later, the locals opened the scoring with Sinayoko, well placed on a back serve from Perrin. The Parisians are cornered in their camp and lack accuracy when they enter the opposing zone of truth.

At the break, Paris FC ran behind the score.

Returning from the locker room, the Parisians regained control of the ball but struggled to worry Léon. Worse still, on a loss of defensive ball, Auxerre takes a significant advantage thanks to Onaiwu. Stéphane Gilli’s players seem to have taken a blow to the head even if Vincent Marchetti tries several times from outside the penalty area… In vain. The end of the match is unbridled but nothing more will be scored. Paris loses to Auxerre.

We will have to come back very strong next Friday to face Guingamp and take an almost definitive option for the playoffs.
