The finale of season 18 of Beijing Express was broadcast this Saturday, May 4 at 9:10 p.m. on M6.

The two pairs still in the race were those of the Corsicans, Patricia and Jessica, and the hairdresser and his client, Laura and Romain.

At the end of 45 days of exhausting adventure, a pair managed to cross the famous Beijing Express logo and win the final sprint.

The end of the Beijing Express adventure was broadcast on M6 – exceptionally on a Saturday – and that’s it, the winning pair of season 18 of the show is finally known. They are the hairdresser and his client, Romain and Laura, who won the 2024 edition of Beijing Express. At the end of an adventure full of twists and turns, those who faced the Corsicans, Patricia and Jessica, managed to cross the show’s logo first. And it’s an ultimate ultra-paced and very tight episode that the finalists offered to viewers, with trials full of frustrations and a neck-and-neck final sprint.

Laura and Romain’s victory was all the more wonderful because the hairdresser and his client were, basically, a pair.spare“. Having not been selected for the main casting, they actually joined the adventure during the second stage, after the abandonment of the Belgian pair of Nathan and Brandon. To manage not only to stay in the adventure for so long but also to win Beijing Express was, for them, a real surprise. “The story is over, we wrote the most beautiful ending we could imagine” summarized Romain, his voice full of emotion after winning the final.

Laura and Romain won Beijing Express

It must be said that, on the side of Laura and Romain as well as that of Patricia and Jessica, the efforts were there to reach the last race in Hanoi, Vietnam. As always in the Beijing Express final, the two pairs still in the race first had to face each other during three small missions. And each time a pair arrived first near Stéphane Rotenberg, it was the famous heist timer that started to eat into the opposing pair’s kitty.

After the three tests of the first part of the final, the pair of Romain and Laura – who did better than their opponents – found themselves with a prize pool of 77,660 euros while the Corsicans had 22,340 euros to their name. Thanks to their victory, Laura and Romain were able to pocket a little more than 77,000 euros to share between them. But their real pride remains in having gone to the end and having fought to be able to win Beijing Express while consolidating the bond that already existed between them.

Patricia and Jessica are proud despite the defeat

On their side, Patricia and Jessica congratulated the winners. Corsican colleagues, although losing, still want to keep their heads held high. “Of course we wanted to win. We’re not going to hide it, we believed in it until the end. But we are proud of our journey and our partner” Jessica explained. And Patricia concludes: “I realize that I am not crying and that I feel immense joy. What a joy what we experienced…”.
