Kuevi Koudoyor is on trial until this Friday for the murder of Christopher Aurier, committed on July 13, 2020, in a nightclub in Toulouse.
“I didn’t want to distract from what’s important. Christopher’s life was cut short by a murderer. I’m a man whose family has been shattered forever.” These words are those of footballer Serge Aurier. They are read before the Haute-Garonne Assize Court by his lawyer, Me Romain Vanni. The ex-TFC and PSG player did not make the trip but he hoped that his voice would be heard before the end of Kuevi Koudoyor’s trial. On the third day of this trial, the attorney general requested 28 years of criminal imprisonment and 10 years of socio-judicial monitoring against the accused. Throughout the debates, this 31-year-old man tried to explain his fatal act, committed on July 13, 2020 at Kin’s, a nightclub in Toulouse. He said he was saddened by his action. However, his remarks did not reveal any emotion towards the civil parties.

Since Tuesday, Kuevi Koudoyor has never looked at the victim’s loved ones who demanded answers and deserved compassion.
