A magistrate attacked on social networks after the murder of Matisse

Violent remarks are made against this former magistrate on the web because Internet users accuse her of having released the minor accused of the murder of Matisse, in the context of previous criminal cases. An accusation that is false.

On April 27, Matisse, aged 15, “died from stabbings received from Rahman M., a minor of the same age, leaving behind a bereaved family”, recalls in a joint press release the first president of the Court of Appeal, Alain Vanzo, and the Prosecutor General of the Court of Appeal Eric Maillaud.

A judicial investigation was opened at the criminal center of the judicial court of Bourges (Cher) on April 29 and the suspect was indicted for intentional homicide and placed in pre-trial detention.

“Since the occurrence of these dramatic events, hateful and threatening comments have been made, both on the internet and on social networks, against a former magistrate of the Châteauroux judicial court,” the press release indicates.

“Some believe they can accuse, in the context of previous criminal cases, the release of this minor“, denounce the two magistrates.

“Apart from the fact that this colleague, whose name is unfairly made known to the general public, has never intervened, in any capacity whatsoever, in the civil or criminal proceedings concerning the young Rahman M., we can only be indignant against the fact (…) to violently criticize the legitimate action of magistrates who, in strict compliance with texts and France’s international commitments, do not consider the incarceration of a young minor who commits crimes – whatever his origin – only with the legitimate prudence that everyone has the right to expect.

A white walk in tribute to the young Matisse will be organized on Saturday afternoon in the city center of Châteauroux. Information confirmed by the mayor, Gil Avérous.
