That night in August 2011, the body of Khaled M. was discovered bruised on the landing of his apartment in the 17th arrondissement of . No one ever knew who had stabbed this 35-year-old transvestite several times. More than 13 years later, this unresolved case has just joined the cold cases center in , informs RMC.

On the night of August 24 to 25, 2011, as Le Parisien reported at the time, residents of rue Lacaille heard calls for help coming from the 2nd floor. When they arrived on the landing, the residents discovered Khaled M., dressed in women’s clothing and seriously stabbed several times in the abdomen and head. He will succumb to his injuries.

Near him, a long kitchen knife is discovered and the apartment door is open. In the home, blood and traces of a struggle led investigators from the criminal brigade to believe that the victim, known for her activity as a prostitute in the district, was attacked inside.

But since 2011, the investigation has never progressed. According to RMC, suspicious DNA had been taken at the time and has just been integrated into the FNAEG, the National Automated Genetic Fingerprint File, which could one day make it possible to identify the killer.

Still according to RMC, Khaled M.’s family never responded to the police. “He’s someone who went through life without anyone worrying,” an investigator told the media. We owe him that.”
