The youth of the RHDP is in battle order and firmly committed on the ground with a view to victory in 2025. This Sunday, September 29, 2024, during the 6th stage of the RHDP youth remobilization meetings in Songon, the President of the RHDP UJ-RHDP, Koné Mamadou, reacted firmly to the recent controversies arising from the declarations of the Franco-African lawyer Robert Bourgi. The latter, during an interview on France 24, affirmed that the 2010 presidential election in Côte d’Ivoire had been won by Laurent Gbagbo.
In his speech, Koné Mamadou quickly dismissed these assertions. The youth leader of the ruling party stressed the uselessness of reopening an already closed debate: “ We should not be interested in these deaf debates that people have started. (…) They started a debate which, for us, the youth of the RHDP, makes no sense. Today they are looking for who won the 2010 election or who did not. We are not interested in this debate », indicated Koné Mamadou.
The youth of the RHDP remains convinced that since his accession to power, President Alassane Ouattara has worked to positively impact all areas of the country’s life. This is why young people must instead be focused on the future. “ We won the election in 2010, in 2015, in 2020 and we will win again in 2025. Let them look for the winner of 2010. As far as we are concerned, we are moving forward. Let’s focus on the 2025 election and who will win it », continued Koné Mamadou.
Representing the main coordinator of Songon, Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, the deputy – mayor of Songon invited young people to keep in mind the importance of unity for a united Ivory Coast. He then called on them to be on the front line of the RHDP’s victory in 2025. “ Dear young people, you are the future of this great party. It is your dynamism, your creativity and your commitment that will guarantee our victory in 2025 with Dr. Alassane Ouattara », Specified Gbrou Alloboué Osé.
