The beaches of Dinard hosted the 2024 French Coastal Sports Rescue Championships. Only 2 Millavois athletes made the trip, Camille and Margaux Bouteloup. A look back at a “fresh” weekend and the new exploits of our Millavoises…
Camille Bouteloup, French SurfRace champion
Camille came to this championship with a dual objective: to perform in the Swimming event (one of her specialties in Sports Rescue) and to continue her learning in competition in the events with equipment.
Camille accomplished her 2 objectives during the weekend. First of all, she won the title of French champion in the SurfRace. She was also invited to the finals of the board (11th) and the OceanWoman (9th).
Margaux Bouteloup returns loaded
For Margaux, the weekend started well with a bronze medal in the “Swimming”, thus accompanying her sister on the podium. In SurfSki (Kayak), an event in which she was the reigning French champion, she is neck and neck with her main competitor. She finally took 2nd place and the title of vice-champion of France.
Finally on the OceanWoman, she takes a new bronze medal. After an average start on a board, she swims then kayaks to grab a new podium.
Congratulations to our two representatives for these results which once again made the colors of Aquagrimpe Millau Grands Causses shine, at the highest national level!
