And 21 year old man died in an accident on the A63 motorway, this Monday September 30, 2024.
The collision took place around 7 a.m. in the Bordeaux-Bayonne direction, near Mios (Gironde).
Another 21-year-old man in absolute emergency
For reasons that the gendarmerie investigation must determine, a car and a heavy goods vehicle collided.
Of the two 21-year-old men on board the vehicle, one died on the spot and the other was evacuated in absolute emergency to the emergency room of the Bordeaux University Hospital.
The man on board the truck, which was transporting cardboard, was taken care of by the gendarmerie.
More than 10 kilometers of traffic jams
Traffic was reduced to one lane on the A63, near the accident, while the operation and the vehicles were evacuated.
At 9:45 a.m., the traffic jams still extended for more than 10 kilometers, almost as far as the Bordeaux ring road.
