Obviously, the oldest will not fail to regret the 1er May of yesteryear, unitary and black people. For this Labor Day, there was no major parade bringing together all the union forces. Convergence of struggles
The CGT was in charge of the main demonstration which left the station and reached the Labor Exchange passing Cours Briand and Place Ducale. Demands for workers and for peace were thus united in the parade. The CGT insisted on “these times of crisis and social breakdown, in a nauseating atmosphere where foreigners, unions, minorities and those who fight for equality and fraternity are singled out. » Adding: “the CGT denounces attacks on collective and individual freedoms, in particular against labor markets and the right to demonstrate, union freedoms, but also obstacles to freedom of expression. »
