A major search was carried out Monday morning in Bondy (Seine-Saint-Denis), by investigators from the territorial security of 93. They discovered, during the search of a box, 47 kg of cannabis resin, a Kalashnikov, ammunition and nearly 5,200 euros in cash, as part of an investigation into drug trafficking.

They arrested the suspect who was renting it at his home, in a building near the A3 motorway. The Bobigny public prosecutor’s office confirms that the man was placed in police custody “on charges of unauthorized acquisition, detention, transport, offer or transfer of narcotics, possession of category A weapons and ammunition”. Police custody can last up to 96 hours in this context of drug trafficking proceedings. Investigations are continuing to determine the origin of the drugs and weapons, as well as the possible involvement of other people.

This operation is part of the fight led by law enforcement against drug trafficking and armed violence. Recently, the “Place net XXL” operations had enabled record seizures in Seine-Saint-Denis. During the searches, 748,000 euros were confiscated and 63 kg of cannabis were seized between March and April.

In the longer term, the harassment strategy carried out by the territorial contact brigade 1 (BTC 1), specialized in the fight against drug trafficking at the foot of buildings, made it possible to wipe three of the biggest points off the map of Saint-Ouen deal and leading to unprecedented trials in the field in recent years.
