As part of the annual “Pink October” campaign for the first time, to raise awareness of breast cancer screening and raise funds for research, the village will experience next Sunday, October 13, “ Pink Goldfingers Day», at the initiative of the local association “Les Fingers d’or de Nougaroulet”, which offers creative leisure activities throughout the year.
This day of solidarity will be open to all, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the village hall, where an exhibition and sale of the association’s work will be set up, an opportunity to find ideas for original gifts and exchanges. information on the different techniques used for these works.
Several activities will be offered, notably in the morning (from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), with two hiking trails in the surroundings of the village, one of 4 km, the other of 8 km (participation = €5). Signs and markings will be in place along the routes, as well as drinks stations.
For children, there will be various games, for €2 for the whole day.
Also, a small refreshment bar will be open (water, fruit juice, coffee, tea). The convivial time is planned at 12:30 p.m., for the meal of Pink Daywith on the menu: pumpkin soup, sausages and fries, salad, ice cream, with a drink (prices: €10, free for children under 6 years old, €5 for 6-12 year olds), with registration required before Thursday October 10, at 06.86.78.55.48.
This day, organized to serve a great cause, should attract a large audience, whose generosity will be greatly appreciated, since the profits will be donated to the Gers Committee of the League Against Cancer.
