The driver was around sixty years old. This Friday, September 27, 2024, around 3:30 p.m. on the Corniche André de Joly in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), a man died on a scooter after having hit a 10 year old childwe learn from the firefighters.
Another 16-year-old victim, the passenger, was treated by emergency services. Police are currently on scene.
A 16-year-old boy also taken into care
The events occurred around 3:30 p.m. this Friday afternoon. A man in his sixties who was riding a two-wheeler died after hitting a 10-year-old child who was crossing on a pedestrian crossing at the Max Barel roundabout. He is slightly injured.
Despite attempts at resuscitation by emergency services, the driver unfortunately could not be resuscitated. According to firefighters, another victim was support : a boy of around 16 years old, presumably the passenger of the scooter. He is also slightly injured.
Law enforcement officers are on the scene and have cordoned off the perimeter. 16 firefighters and 7 engines are mobilized for this intervention.
