According to a press release from the Mauritanian Ministry of Energy, this agreement includes partnership opportunities, the development of electricity systems, cooperation in the field of clean hydrogen, in addition to clean energy in order to use the techniques for the use of fossil fuel technologies, including technologies to capture, store and use carbon dioxide.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed investment opportunities in Mauritania in the fields of energy.

The Saudi minister asked the company to begin studying the project of using gas in the GTA field intended for the local market in order to create a pipeline to transport gas from the distribution point to the port area of ​​N ‘Diago, and to establish a power plant to produce electricity from gas.

The signing of this memorandum of understanding took place on the sidelines of the Davos forum organized by Saudi Arabia under the theme: “international cooperation, growth and energy for development”.
