It’s a gala evening that’s coming up on CANAL+ Live 8. L’Ares, episode 25, is organizing one of its most memorable events in its history. Three title fights with three Frenchmen involved, nine fights in total. Here is the full card for this Thursday, September 26.
Two boiling main-events
Starting with Axel Sola. The Ares lightweight champion (70kg) is defending his belt for the second time. Last June, he retained it against Daguir Imavov (Nassourdine’s little brother) after a draw. This time, the Tricolore intends to make an impression against Soslan Gagloev. The 25-year-old Russian is one of Ares’ rising stars and is still undefeated after 5 fights. This main event promises a lot, just like the other main fight of the evening.

It is Aboubakar Younousov (5-0-0) who will also try to keep his interim title in the bantamweight category (61kg). “Dikiy” faces the Brazilian Matheus Malta (11-4-0) for the regular belt that has been vacant since the forfeit due to injury of the former holder Louis Lee Scott. These two fights promise to set the room on fire. But Ares did not want to stop there and decided to do things in a big way.

Other French chances
Two other title fights will take place, with two possibilities for the Frenchmen who have their teeth set on winning. Jacky Jeanne has the opportunity to seize the title in the light heavyweight (-93kg). After his remarkable victory in the first round against Salim El Ouassaidi, finally judged in “no-contest” after blows to the back of the head administered by the Frenchman, the fighter wants to continue. And he even has the right to better with a “title shot” against the undefeated Turkish champion AbdulRakhman Yakhyaev (5-0-0).
Other Frenchmen will be out, notably the former lightweight champion Mohamad Baillot. “Simba” faces the Angolan Wilker Nsamo and wants to get back on track after his defeat last May. The card will be broadcast from 8:30 p.m. on CANAL+ Live 8.
Within the preliminary card, available on the UFC Fight Pass from 7 p.m., four other fights are on the program. The opportunity to see two more Frenchmen in the octagon. Arnold Quero and Gaetan Dambo face respectively the Englishman Stefano Catacoli and the Senegalese Fallou Diop.
