King Charles will resume his public activities next week, which he had suspended since the announcement of his cancer diagnosis on February 5, his state of health being considered “encouraging” by his doctors, announced this Friday, April 26 , Buckingham.
“His Majesty’s treatment will continue but the doctors are sufficiently satisfied with the progress made so far for the King to be able to resume a certain number of public activities”said a palace spokesperson this Friday, April 26. No medical details were communicated.
Charles will visit a cancer treatment center in London on Tuesday with his wife Camilla. Buckingham also confirmed a state visit by Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and his wife Masako in June to the British capital.
The King of England’s summer program will nevertheless be reduced so as not to hinder his chances of recovery. Buckingham announced in February that the sovereign was to undergo treatment for an unspecified form of cancer, detected during tests following surgery to correct an enlarged prostate in January.
