Friday April 19 in the evening, while this 49-year-old woman was at home, a man “banged on the door and insisted on forcing entry into the home”. He is homeless, and knows the victim who works within an association supporting people without resources.

The suspect, aged 25, reportedly showed signs of agitation and nervousness upon his arrival. The forty-year-old explained to the police “having been confined in her home by her attacker, beaten and sexually abused”.
The next morning, the forty-year-old took advantage of a moment of inattention on the part of her attacker to escape. He was arrested at the victim’s home by the police. Without a fixed address, he is known to the courts for property crimes.
Monday April 22, he was to be brought before the Nantes public prosecutor’s office for indictment. A psychiatric assessment was ordered. The victim was prescribed 10 days of total incapacity for work (ITT).
