An attacker armed with knives attacked residents in Rotterdam (Netherlands) on Thursday evening.
One person was stabbed to death, a second was seriously injured.
The alleged assailant, himself seriously injured, was arrested and taken to hospital.
A deadly night in Rotterdam. A man armed with a knife stabbed a person to death on Thursday night in the Dutch port city, local police said. Another person was seriously injured in the attack. He was treated by emergency services and hospitalized.
A suspect, who himself had a serious injury, was arrested by the police. He was then taken to hospital. Several witnesses told public broadcaster NOS that the man in question had shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is the greatest) during his attack.
