TESTIMONIES – “Les Ogres” by Victor Castanet, published this Wednesday, exposes the low-cost strategy in the private People & Baby daycare centers which is detrimental to the reception of children

“People & Baby is the big bad wolf, the frightening monster of children’s stories,” writes Victor Castanet in The Ogresthe investigative book on the excesses low-cost private nurseries published this Wednesday by Flammarion. According to the journalist, this early childhood player concentrates most of the alerts from families and employees in the sector and accumulates the most lawsuits. “Our children are in danger, we are all concerned”, we can read in bold on the back cover. It must be said that some descriptions are particularly worrying.

Victor Castanet denounces the strategies low-cost of People & Baby – and of a whole section of early childhood professionals – which have led to a continuous deterioration in the quality of care for children in these daycare centers. Some People & Baby establishments do not hesitate to make savings on the hygiene and nutrition of toddlers when it is not a question of outright physical and psychological violence.
