the Ossun en Rose association welcomes Doctor Pierre Bellot, vice-president of the departmental committee of the league against cancer, and Emilie Moreau-Gomis, ambassador of the Jeune et Rose Pyrénées 65 association. The speech of the three co-presidents welcomed these guests and above all underlined the significant investment of all the volunteers of the association who, for several months, have given their time and energy to carry out the decorations of the village. Traders and all those involved in the October 6 event are also highlighted. This event was a real success this year despite the multitude of actions in the department on the same date. 250 walkers and runners, spread over 2 walks and a race, 150 meals, the sale of flags and flowers, exhibitors, the refreshment bar and the raffle made it possible to raise the tidy sum of €5,257.02 which was donated in two parts. The departmental committee of the league against cancer 65 received the sum of €3,504.68 and the Jeune et Rose association received a check for €1,752.34. Once the 40% is donated to research, the league offers patients and their caregivers psychological support, relaxation, adapted physical activity and beautician care. The Jeune et Rose association organizes “tetonant” actions aimed at helping patients get through the period of care better.
The members of the Ossun en Rose association thank all the participants in the 2024 edition! A general meeting will be organized at the start of the year: all people wishing to get involved in this noble cause will be welcome.
