Last week, the diesel had crossed the symbolic bar of €1.50 per litre at a gas station in Bouches-du-Rhône. A first in more than two and a half years. The fuel thus returns to these levels of early 2022, before the war in Ukraine. This is now also the case in Occitania.

In the region, this type of rate is now displayed in several stations. The drop has been continuous for several weeks. To the point that at the beginning of September, several of them were already offering a liter of diesel between €1.52 and €1.60. This time, the threshold of €1.50 has been crossed. Here’s where*.

At Carrefour

It’s in theAude. At least two stations have brought the bill down below this bar (€1,499), that of the Carrefour Pont-Rouge in and that of the Carrefour Market in Lézignan-Corbières. Others are not far away (between €1.51 and €1.52) and should align themselves shortly, such as Intermarché and the Carrefour hypermarket in or Leclerc in Carcassonne.

Those who are very close to doing it

No other department in the region had such advantageous prices for diesel on Wednesday, September 18. But some are getting closer and closer, with prices between €1.51 and €1.53. Here they are:

  • The Carrefour Market in Laroque-des-Albères in the Pyrenees-Orientales (€1,519) and Leclerc du Boulou, in the same department (€1,527)
  • The Intermarché hypermarket on Avenue du Mas-d’Argelliers in , in Herault (€1,516). The Esso Express on Avenue de Palavas in Montpellier (€1,525), the Super U in Ganges and the Intermarché in Larroque (€1,527) and the Carrefour on the road from Nîmes to Crès (€1,529) in the same department.
  • The Intermarché of Saint-Lys and the Carrefour Market of Fonsorbes in Haute-Garonne (€1,529).

In Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Lot, Gers, , Hautes-Pyrénées, Aveyron, Ariège and Lozère, the prices displayed are currently still above €1.54.

Gasoline soon to be below €1.60?

As for unleaded, it is in the Lot that we find the most attractive prices. €1,619 at Leclerc in Souillac. In Haute-Garonnewe go to €1.625 at the Intermarché in Cornebarrieu. While we find petrol at €1.629 in several stations Aude, Gard and Pyrénées-Orientales.

*Please note that this list is not exhaustive, as prices change every day. The prices recorded were on the official website prix-carburants.gouv.fr on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 10 a.m.
