The Social Club group & Michelin-starred chef Coline Faulquier won the selection procedure for the operation of the gourmet restaurant L'Épuisette located at the port of Vallon des Auffes, in Marseille.
Nîmes entrepreneur Denis Allegrini, Audrey and Christophe Chalvidal of The Social Club, and chef Coline Faulquier announce that they will operate L'Épuisette, the gourmet restaurant at the emblematic port of Vallon des Auffes in Marseille from January 1, 2025 .
The Marseille chef by heart and adoption Coline Faulquier (head of the Michelin-starred restaurant Signature in Marseille) and the group are embarking on this new adventure. “ We are very happy to support Coline Faulquier in this exceptional project due to its setting and environment. We responded via the traditional route to a selection procedure as is customary and whose judgment criteria are clear. Judged on very specific criteria, whether relating to quality, eco-responsibility, social and economic aspects, we wanted to respond in very detail. I also specify on the social part, that all jobs will be retained », justifies Denis Allegrini, president of The Social Club, while the conditions of the award of the call for tenders are contested by the team in place. The chef, finalist on the show Top Chef in 2016, does not return to the controversy and is positive: “ It is a great satisfaction to embark alongside The Social Club on this new adventure. I am committed to making my city and its territory shine and to perpetuating the spirit of l'Épuisette, while bringing new life to it. »
To reveal and enhance this setting, an architectural facelift of the premises will be undertaken at the start of the year, both inside and outside to better integrate this iconic building into its environment. This project will perpetuate the gastronomic concept of L'Épuisette and offer its guests, whether local or from around the world, an experience that will showcase local know-how.
