This Monday, September 16, 2024, TF1 kicks off its back-to-school saga: Broceliande. The series tells the story of Fanny Legoffa renowned and admired biologist, who has lived in Paris for over 20 years, after leaving the University of Brocéliande during her studies following the disappearance of her best friend Laura for which she had been suspected. When Fanny receives a package containing a billhook covered in dried blood, She decides to return to the scene, 20 years after the tragedy.
By agreeing to participate in a seminar at the biology faculty of Brocéliande, Fanny finds herself back in places she knows well and which are full of memories. But shortly after her arrival, one of his students disappears in the same way as Laura…In both cases, Fanny is the last person to see them alive. Why does history repeat itself like this?
Nolwenn Leroy, star of Broceliande : “All the ingredients were there to give me confidence”
On the bill for this fictional event, we find Nolwenn Leroy. Revealed in 2002 during her victory at the Star Academy on TF1, the successful singer tried her hand at comedy for the first time in 2021, during an episode of the series Captain Marleau on France 3. Today, she signs her first major role on television. Questioned at the microphone of Seriouslyshe tells us what pushed her to accept the role of Fanny Legoff in Broceliande.
“I was attracted by the fact that it was a detective series in the form of a saga, like the ones I loved so much when I was younger and I would come and spend the summer at my grandmother's. I have childhood memories of the great summer sagas with lots of characters who all have a secret. It’s something that struck me and that I found again in Brocéliande. » explains Nolwenn Leroy.
She also admits that she liked the fact that her character Fanny Legoff “leads the investigation”without being a policewoman. “It was a bit of a change from the role of the cop that we often see on television.” she specifies.
“And also Brittany! Let’s say that was the cherry on the cake. It was comforting to spend these three months of filming in a place that is dear to me. and where I have lots of memoriesadds Nolwenn Leroy, herself originally from Brittany. All the ingredients were there to give me confidence and tell me that It was the right time for me to take the plunge, to stop being afraid and to make this dream come true. which was mine at that time”.
In Broceliandethe interpreter of Broken gives the reply to Marie-Anne Chazelwho plays his mother Chantal. A collaboration that has “wonderfully” went well, as Nolwenn Leroy tells us: “I couldn’t have dreamed of a better movie mom for this first experience. It was amazing! I feel like I was lucky enough to experience a masterclass playing with her.”.
Is Laura Perrier still alive in Broceliande ?
From the first moments of episode 1 of Broceliandea question is nagging viewers: Is Laura Perrier dead? And for good reason, Fanny Legoff's best friend disappeared twenty years ago, in mysterious circumstances, but her body was never found. Warning, the rest of this article contains important spoilers about the first two episodes of Broceliande.
As history now repeats itself with Chloe Chavauda student and influencer who leads the investigation around the disappearance of Laura Perrier, Fanny finds herself accused of having a link with this case. Being the last person to have seen her alive, it also turns out that Chloé's blood was found on the clothes of the character played by Nolwenn Leroy. That's not all since, Laura's blood is also found on Fanny's clothes… Are we to understand that Laura is still alive?
As the investigation progresses, and Laura's loved ones regain hope, an event unfortunately turns everything upside down at the end of the second episode of Broceliande. Indeed, Laura's skeleton is found underground, in front of the biology faculty. Present at that moment, Fanny is upset. She understands that it is indeed the corpse of her friend because of the presence of the necklace sealing their friendship at the time.
