As too often this season, lacked realism to hope to change the course of its 32nd day of League 2 against (0-0). Dominant in the first period, the Isérois never managed to convert their opportunities but still grabbed a point which allowed them to take seven steps ahead of the red zone. After the meeting, the Grenoble coach, Laurent Peyreladereturned to his team’s draw at a press conference.

We have to be able to play the last six matches with the same attitude, the same intensity, the same collective intentions. It really looked like something good. It’s really a good point (…) We lack a little bit of success in the first half, but they also have situations and the match can swing on both sides (…) You play second, all week we keeps telling me that we are in free fall, in difficulty (…) What happened before, I want to get it out of our heads (…) We are not rewarded to the extent of what we would like, but what interests me is that we are able to repeat this performance in all matches, whatever the opponent (…) We were a little more cautious at the start of the second period. We had to find that right balance, but I think we can do better. We need to serve our attackers better, and they need to be a little more accurate. »

(…)

The matches come one after the other, I really believe in freshness and dynamism. So we will recover well and move forward (…) Since I’ve been here, this was by far our best game. We were concerned, focused (…) Manuel Perez did what was expected of him, in terms of command, accurate placement. Manu’s problem is not playing a match, it’s recovering to play the next ones. But just because you have a good match doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to play the next ones. He is rewarded for his state of mind, for who he is (…) I think Arial Mendy is capable of doing much better. I have already told him that I will not let him go for six games. That when you come from the sixth basement and the door opens, you have to know how to grab it and be aware of where you were a month and a half ago. The player’s qualities are there, you have to remain simple and technically sure. This is an ongoing requirement. I told him at the end of the match, there are no secrets. When a coach speaks with a player, it’s because he likes him. He had a solid match, like Diarra, Nestor or Perez. We are not playing a two-person match, but a 16-person match. »
