The question is recurring… How can a single man bring a crowd into the same movement, to vibrate and dance? The most likely hypothesis is that this man found the right alchemy between rhythms, melodies and songs, to captivate the audience. As for around thirty years that David Guetta has been mixing, his fingers as a magician of sound and electronic music have been able to find the measure of the spectators.

Last night, Saturday June 29, he completely transformed into a dancefloor what is called the “horseshoe”, that is to say the large space located in front of the Château de Chambord, its garden and its canal.

Suspended on a platform

Since the end of the afternoon, three artists and groups had kept the spectators waiting. If the very energetic show of Kungs left us with a mixed impression, we really appreciated the Rennes trio Roszalie, between electro and indie pop, synths, machines, drums and singing. And it seems that this was only their tenth concert.

It is a little after 10 p.m. that David Guetta appears on a platform that seems, as night falls, to float more and more in the warm air, right in front of two giant screens, a real wall of visual effects, which from time to time reveal the smiling face of the DJ.

Guetta quickly explains that he had planned to play only classics – and therefore his hits – but that, in the end, he added a few new tracks to the show. And off we go for nearly two hours of a dense and exciting concert from start to finish. In the audience, there is movement, dancing, clapping, shouting.

Strangely, as soon as the concert started, drops began to fall. The rain that had been threatening since the beginning of the afternoon had finally arrived.

Which did not seem, at any time, to disturb the spectators delighted with this unique show. It’s not every evening that you can see David Guetta and, by turning your head a little to the right, see one of the most beautiful castles in the world, lit up as it should be in various colors.

It was a beautiful evening at the castle, which ended, as it should, with fireworks…
