The 12th season of Star Academy is preparing to bow out this Saturday, January 25, on TF1. Marine and Ebony, the two finalists, will face each other in a final bonus. At stake: a check for 100,000 euros and a contract with Sony Music to produce their first album. So, which of the two young women will succeed Pierre Garnier, winner of the previous edition?

For this exceptional evening, the production pulled out all the stops, inviting renowned French artists to accompany the finalists in their performances. Fanny Delaigue and Lucie Bernardoni, the show's coaches, revealed the titles and names of the celebrities on January 20.

A prestigious casting

The studio 217 set will first welcome Pierre Garnier. He will perform his title Goodbye, both of us in duet with Ebony. Marine, for her part, will share a duet with Matt Pokora on his famous song Just a photo of you.

Another highlight of the evening, Sofia Essaïdi, semi-finalist of season 3, will return to the tele-hook stage to perform Roxanne from The Police with Ebony. Marine will also be treated to an exceptional performance with Damiano David, the charismatic singer of the group Måneskin, now launched into a solo career. Together, they will cover his latest hit, Born with a broken heart.

Highlights ahead

Amel Bent and Clara Luciani, godmother of this promotion, will also enrich the evening. Each will share a medley of his greatest hits in trio with the finalists. The final will also allow Marine and Ebony to stand out individually thanks to solo performances. Ebony will perform All I Ask of Adele, while Marine will pay tribute to Grégory Lemarchal, winner of the 2004 edition, who died in 2007, with Headlong.

Together, the two finalists will unite their voices on When You Believe by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. All of this season's alumni will also be on hand to perform Start me againthe anthem written by Santa, and the nine academicians selected for the tour will perform on a stage sung and danced to the rhythm of Can’t Stop the Feeling de Justin Timberlake.

The elimination of Marguerite

This 12th season of the Star Academy was marked by emotional intensity and unexpected twists and turns. The elimination of Marguerite, perceived as one of the most promising candidates, deeply surprised and disappointed part of the public, leaving a taste of unfinished business. Expectations for the final bonus are therefore very high: Marine and Ebony will have to surpass themselves to offer a memorable evening and conclude this edition on a brilliant note.
