The freed prisoner, leader of the Popular Front, Khalida Jarrar, arrived at her home after her release as part of the first batch of the exchange deal.
Jarrar’s family received her upon her release as part of the first batch of liberated prisoners.
Jarrar is a Palestinian politician and member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and a former representative in the Palestinian Legislative Council.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested her in 2015 “on charges of belonging to a banned organization seeking to liberate Palestine,” according to the occupation.
-The occupation released Jarrar on June 3, 2016 after spending 15 months in detention, but she was arrested again in the summer of 2017.
In September 2021, she was released, but was rearrested again on December 26, 2023.
